I’m Amanda Renee

If life taught me anything, it’s that I’ll never regret being present with my family. Inside jokes, full belly laughs, looking into each others eyes and experiencing never-ending love are what make life complete. But I’ve also learned that time slips by so fast and some of the littlest moments lead to the biggest lifelong memories. I believe these moments deserve celebration and documentation, which drives my passion for photography.

I believe in helping families and couples hold onto life’s fleeting memories and making ordinary seasons memorable. It is my passion to capture timeless images that tell your unique story and act as a gateway to the past. I love honest motherhood, celebrating love, and encouraging others to radiate their truest joy.

As a mom, I know how important those in-between moments are. Which is why the vision behind A Renee Focus is to savor memories, embrace raw emotion, and provide a playful and warm photography experience. Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know which package to book?

The package you choose is based on the number of images you wish to receive & the type of location you're seeking. My Basic Package is limited to locations w/in a 15 mile radius of zip code 97408 only. My Essential and Deluxe Packages include all the best locations & are what I recommend for newborn sessions! Reach out with any questions about pricing & to receive a detailed package guide w/ a list of stunning locations that have been pre-scouted for light. 

When is the best time to of day for photos?

The best time of day depends on your session location, the season, weather, & lighting. But I typically prefer to shoot around golden hour, (1-2 hours before sunset). Indoor sessions are best around 10-11 am. 

Do you offer payment plans?

Family, maternity, & newborn sessions are split into two payments. A $200 retainer fee is due at time of booking & the remaining balance is due 1 week prior to your session date. Birth photography packages require a $500 retainer fee at time of booking The remaining balance may be split into up to 3 payments w/ the full amount due by 38 weeks of your pregnancy.

What should we wear?

Keep it timeless, comfortable, & aesthetically pleasing. Shop your closet first, chances are you already own something you feel beautiful in. Then coordinate your families outfits around yours with 2-3 complementing tones that are flattering on everyone. I will share style guides, offer wardrobe styling, & have numerous blog posts with tips, tricks, & seasonally appropriate outfit suggestions.

How do you handle unhappy kids?

Kids are expected to be kids during sessions. Meaning, if they have big feelings, are tired, need a snack, or aren't into a certain prompt, we will tend to their needs & pivot as needed. Part of creating a joyful photo session for children is for parents to show up with a go with the flow attitude ready to have fun & enter a discipline free zone. My storytelling approach is about capturing your family's connection more than stiff poses, allowing for kids to feel more at ease as well.
